Types of Panels

In the Gremlin Social Dashboard, Panels are added to Pages in the dashboard, and they hold the selected information from the social networks that you want to view such as your Facebook business page timeline, your Twitter mentions, etc. Here are each of the different types of panels you can add.

Twitter

Home Timeline: The Home Timeline panel you can add for Twitter will pull in the newsfeed of the updates all the accounts you follow on Twitter. These updates will show in your panel with the most recent Tweet posted first. This can be refreshed to update with more recent Tweets.

Just Me: The Just Me panel will pull in all of the outgoing Tweets that have been sent from your Twitter account.

Mentions: The Mentions panel will pull in all of the Tweets that others have sent tagging your Twitter account. You can then respond to, retweet, like or quote those posts if needed.

Favorites: This panel will pull in all of the Tweets that your Twitter account has favorited. This is useful to save an article for later to read or to see who else's posts you've favorited.

Retweets By Me and Of Me: The Retweets (by me) panel will pull in all the Tweets of other's that your Twitter account has retweeted. The Retweets (of me) alternatively will pull in all of your Tweets that others have retweeted.

Search and Advanced Search: From the General dropdown menu when adding a new panel, you can then select Search or Advanced Search. These panels will allow you to search all of the public posts on Twitter that contain certain keywords, phrases, hashtags, and more. For more information on Advanced Search, visit our article Running a Twitter Advanced Search.

Other Users: From the General dropdown menu when adding a new panel, you can then select Other Users. This panel will allow you to enter the Twitter handle, ie @gremlinsocial, of another Twitter user so you can see all of their outgoing Tweets.

Lists: One feature of Twitter is Lists. Lists give you the ability to add other Twitter users to a group to better organize what you see. You will create your Twitter Lists via Twitter.com and add other users to that list. When your Twitter List is created, you can then pull that List into a panel in your Gremlin Social dashboard. This allows you to see all the Tweets from Twitter users you've added to that list in order of most resent Tweet.

This will show all of your posts on your personal Facebook page as well as other's posts you've shared. You will also be able to see any likes and comments on those posts and reply to them if you choose. Due to Facebook's privacy standards and API limits to third-party tools, this will not show you posts you've been tagged in by other users or posts shared directly to your Facebook page by other users.

Other Fan Pages: From the Facebook Pages tab when adding a panel and from the General dropdown menu, you can select Other Fan Pages. This allows you to enter the name of other public Facebook Business Pages and add their Wall into your timeline. Here you will be able to see all of the posts they've sent as well as any posts by other users that have posted directly to their Business Page. You will also be able to see any likes and comments on those posts and reply to them if you choose. Due to Facebook's privacy standards and API limits to third-party tools, this will not show you posts the Page has been tagged in by other users or items other than comments directly on their page such as Reviews.

LinkedIn

Personal Timeline: Under the LinkedIn panel section. you can add a panel for the Timeline of all of the updates of those you follow, just like you see when you first login to LinkedIn itself. Here, you can also see comments and likes on those updates and like and comment on these updates as yourself as well.

This will pull in all posts sent by your Company Page as well as any likes and comments on those posts and reply to them if you choose.

Feeds

Other Feeds: If there are certain websites, news sites or blogs who have an RSS feed that you follow, you can add that feed into a panel in your Dashboard. You simply have to enter their RSS feed URL (different than their website URL) when adding the panel. This panel will then show the headline and description for any articles or posts updated on that site in order of most recently published.
